Hakone Komagatake Ropeway is full length 1,783m. (Operated by Prince Hotel Co., Ltd.)

Move between Hakone‐en station (altitude 736m) and Komagatake top summit station (altitude 1,327m) in approximately 7 minutes (altitude difference 591m)

Trains run from 9: 00A.M. (Upbound) to 4: 30P.M. (Upbound), 4: 50P.M. (Downbound) every 20 minutes.

The large gondola 2 units with the names of "Komagatake" and "Ashinoko" go back and forth between the summit and the foot.

The large gondola has a capacity of 101. Seats are only on the window side around the gondola, and most are standing.

The standing position in the gondola is uplink: left rear, backward: right front is recommended. On sunny days you can take Lake Ashinoko and Mount Fuji from inside the gondola.

In the past, as a way to climb Mt. Komagatake, mountaineering on foot using the Komagatake cable car and hiking course was possible besides this ropeway.

However, the Komagatake cable car was abolished in 2005 year, and the hiking course was also prohibited by the eruption of Owakudani in 2015 year, and now it is the only means of transportation to Hakone Komagatake mountaintop.
